Hello and welcome to my newly designed blog!

A little about myself…I am foremost a wife to my amazing and supportive husband David and mother to my beautiful and lively two-year old daughter, Danielle.  Although most of the content on this blog is to support my professional world, if you follow me you’ll most likely see snippets of them throughout my conversations.  They are my life.

After wife and mom, I am the owner and event planner behind Kristy Meinhardt Weddings & Special Events.  I started my company in late 2011 after years of earning badges as an event coordinator for a winery in California’s Livermore Valley.  As with many planners, I first realized a passion for weddings while planning my own in 2008.  Unsure if I was just crazy in love or truly wanting to pursue this newfound passion (or BOTH!), I sought out opportunities to test the waters.  Years later – along with a little education from the ACPWC and tons of on the job training alphabetizing escort cards, fluffing trains and pinning boutonnières – I’m happy to say I still love every detail that goes into planning a wedding or other special event!

I intend to use this blog as a place to feature not only insights into the things I’m working on, but also tips for planning events, DIY how-tos and overall inspiration for weddings, events and life in general.  It’s my hope that you find the information helpful and inspiring.
